Regenerative Design

2nd international Systemic Design Lab

Open and cross-disciplinary conversations about the emerging field of Regenerative Design

The 2nd International System(ic) Design Lab of HTW Berlin took place virtually between Berlin, Mallorca, Zurich, and New York.

In various sessions, we shared stories, insights, and the opportunity for direct dialogue with visionary thinkers, scientists, and designers.

Our guests were: Daniel Christian Wahl, Tobias Luthe, Justyna Swat, Shraddha Borawake, and Sabine Junginger.

The 3 sessions in the morning with our guests were moderated by Simon Herdegen and myself:

Tobias Luthe, Daniel Christian Wahl, and Justyna Swat had just launched the MOOC Designing Resilient Regenerative Systems. We asked each of them:
What is Regenerative Design?

Shraddha Borwake shared insights about Systemic Design in the Public Sector.

With Sabine Junginger we discussed Human-centered Design in Policy-making.

In the afternoon, students of the Systemic Design M.A. at HTW Berlin presented their research projects.

Systemic Design M.A. Projects

My involvement in the project

I was the head of the event planning & organizing team and was responsible for speaker acquisition and moderation and design.

I designed the Graphics, Sharepics, and Visuals. The Icons were beautifully designed by Chaofan. Jakob was responsible for the Website and Leon was responsible for the Tech and Support during the event.

The event conception and organisation was part of the Systemic Design M.A. curriculum. All contributions to the event were voluntary.
